Updated March 2026, from Barreiro, Portugal.
My main instrument — a live performance system I designed in Max/MSP, now being ported to JUCE/C++. It's based on the fuzziness principle. I'm submitting a paper about it to SMC 2026 (Sound and Music Computing), titled "Building a Music Performance Software for a Wandering Mind and Clumsy Hands."
A grant-funded project (OUT.RA 2024) exploring Barreiro's soundscape through live improvised performance. Field recordings from the city become the raw material. Performed at AMAC and broadcast on Radiophrenia.
A semantic search system for audio. A personal research tool for navigating large collections of field recordings and samples using words. It could become part of the Chaos Conductor.
I created the new jingle for my sister's podcast, Esperluette. After more than 200 episodes, Marie-Cécile wanted something that embodied her switch to a broader theme of daily anthropology.
I've been reading about software instrument design, accessibility, mediation and skill development. Daniel Kahneman's work on skill acquisition has been particularly useful.
